Bettye J. Flowers, 75, was a loving and devoted Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, Cousin and Friend. She was thought of as the “Family Rock” Though she is no longer physically with us, we know without a doubt that our beloved Bettye was saved by our Lord Jesus Christ. She has left this earthly dwelling to reign with him and left us with a legacy. That has set a true example of selfless devotion to her friends. Through her caring and loving spirit, smile, sense of humor and positive outlook on life.
Bettye was born in Cassatt, South Carolina. Bettye attended school at Jack-son Elementary and graduated with the Class of 1964 at Jackson High School. She retired from Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital after 25 years of service.
She is survived by her loving children, Ruby F. McClurkin, Rueben L. Flowers, Jr (Sophia), Terries J. Flowers, Shon E. Flores, eight Grandchildren, and four Great-Grandchildren.
Surviving Siblings, James Hubbard, Jr (Jennifer), Donald Hubbard (Myrtle), Willie Hubbard (Ceaser), Adopted Brother Lewis Shields, Alphonso L. Hubbard (Irmgard), Mary A Brooks, Stacey W. Drakeford, Janie McCaskill. Devoted Aunts, Juanita Copeland, Annette Evans, Marian Manigault, Katie Johnson; nieces, nephews, and an abundance of family and friends.
