Annie O’Eula Toatley was born on March 15, 1933 in Bartow, Georgia to the late Eula Bessie Archie. She moved to Jersey City, New Jersey and then later in life, moved to Columbia, South Carolina where she retired. On Monday, June 10, 2019 she went home to be with the Lord.
Annie, with only a third grade education and a strong faith in God raised nine children. Seven children of her own and two foster children that she adopted. She continued to deepen her faith and relationship with God at Kingdom Reapers Ministries where she was the mother of the church. She was a true woman of God. It was not the earthly possessions she obtained, nor the gifts she may have given to others, rather, it was her love for God and all people. Annie demonstrated the love of God through service and unselfish sacrifice.
Annie had fond memories of those that passed on to be with the Father. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Toatley; her sons, Bruce Toatley and Robert Toatley; her mother, Eula Bessie Archie Otha Williams; her sisters, Cora Lee Morant Seabrook and Josephine Howard; her brothers, John Lee Williams, Willie Otha, Gary Williams, Willie Lee Williams, Clossie Williams and Johnny B. Williams whom God has seen fit to call her to join in heaven.
Those who will fondly, lovingly and forever reflect on the memories of Annie Toatley are her five daughters, Barbara Sutton, Margie (David) Williams, Christine Toatley, Carolyn V. (Russell) Smith, Jahnia Toatley; two sons, Eddie Toatley, James Williams (LaNeisha) Toatley; brother, J.C. Williams; sister, Nellie Ann Williams; 56 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed but not forgotten.
