Pastor Allen Joyner was born on 21 March 1949 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late Horace and Marie Joyner. He was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, 11 August 2018.
“lil man” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, he attended Booker T. Washington High School and later joined the Marine Corps in 1969 to 1971. Pastor Joyner, married his loving and devoted wife Shirley Ann Joyner of 44 years on 8 February 1974. In 1989 Pastor Joyner received the Lord at Faith, Hope & Charity Deliverance Ministry, under the leadership of the Late Dr. Mary L. Jacobs. During this time, he accepted the Call to the ministry, working faithfully until 1999. On October 17, 2003 Pastor Joyner was ordained, licensed and officially “Fresh Oil Outreach Ministry” became a church under the leadership of Pastor Easter Hampton.
Pastor Joyner was preceded in death by: his parents, Horace and Marie Joyner; sisters, Hattie Mae Joyner, Janie Stone, and Leola Brooks; brothers, Horace Joyner Jr. and Floyd Joyner; and one grandson; Lorne Richardson Jr.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories to the love of his life Shirley Ann Joyner; four children, Khalilah Joyner, Adrianna (Raymond) Gassaway, Marcedius (Lorne) Richardson, and Yarmyla (Anthony) James. He also helped raised Ricardo (Kimberly) Frierson and Shenecka (Cyrell) Bryant. He also has one Spiritual Son Mr. Vernon Neal. Fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elease (Dawud) Aquil, Lessie (Kenneth) Taylor and Susie Goodwin; three sisters in-law Glenda (Jacob) Rhames, Christine (Henry) Bates and Veronica Mack; three brothers in-law Thomas Frierson, Tony Frierson and Clyde Frierson Jr and a host of nieces & nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
