Ora Lee Davis affectionately known as “Kokomo” by all who loved her dearly transitioned from earth to glory on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She was born on October 15, 1954, to the union of the late James and Ojetta Johnson, in Hopkins, SC.
Ora was a 1973 graduate of Lower Richland High School. She was employed with Olympia Mills, Stone Manufacturing, and Pruitt Health.
Ora was licensed as an Evangelist and Minister at Rice Chapel Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Doris Rice. She later joined Rhema Word Restoration Ministries where she would serve as Minister under the leadership of Bishop Carl and Lady Camesha L. Parrott.
Ora Lee was married to the late James A. Davis for 38 years; and to their union a son, Alastair was born.
To know Ora was to love her. You could always catch her hanging out with her grandchildren and family. She would do anything and everything for her family and her residents. She was known as a Preacher, Intercessor, Seamstress, Cosmetologist, and Professional tambourine player.
Ora was a Cancer Survivor and never let what she went through deter her faith from God, or the way she treated others.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ludell Williams, and Bertha Grooms; and her brothers, Charlie Hopkins, and Sammy Scott.
Ora leaves to hold memories close to their hearts her son, Alastair (Ivey) Davis; five sisters, Earthlean (Rick) Green, Eugenia Johnson, Anniemae (Nathaniel) Jacobs, and Henrietta (Hosea) Simons, and Elder Gates; seven grandchildren whom she loved and was very proud of; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
