William Desean Archie was born March 4, 1992 to William A. Tillman, Jr. and Lashawn Archie. He peacefully departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.

William, “Lil June or Juke”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Richland County. One of his proudest accomplishments was obtaining his GED and earning his work keys. He was self-employed and enjoyed doing landscaping work. He also loved working on his car.

At an early age, William attended Haskell Heights Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Epps, Sr., where he was a proud member of the Mime Dance Ministry. Around the age of 12, he gave his life to Christ and became a member of New Laurel Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles B. Jackson, Jr.

William was a loving son, father, husband, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He had a heart of gold. He loved fishing and playing basketball and was very family-oriented. His children were his life! William was fun-loving but always spoke whatever was on his mind. He was always full of jokes and liked picking little arguments with those he loved just to make them say something to him. And he had a nickname for everyone!

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Mr. William and Betty Alice Tillman Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. Alfred Reese and Ms. Clarissa Dennis; and his great-grandparents, Mr. Charlie and Cassandra Jamison.

William leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted and loving wife, Shaquila Bull; two sons, Jamare’ Desean Archie and William Kyree Archie, and a daughter, Emiya Freeman; his loving parents, William (Leisa) Tillman, Jr. and Lashawn (Charles) Archie; two brothers, Davares and Anthony Archie; four sisters: Neshawn Archie, Julesa Tillman, Lakia Tillman, and Kyndal Tillman; his grandmother, Theresa Jones; a special cousin raised with him who was like a brother, Ryant Noble, Jr., all of Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves to mourn his passing a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
