Mr. Tracy Delon Wray, Sr., 54, was born October 5, 1962 to Nellie Wray Harmon and the late Otis Wray, Sr.in Chicago, Illinois.  After a brief illness and a gallant fight, he departed this earthly life on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina.

Tracy was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina, graduating from Spring Valley High School, Class of 1980. He was an excellent carpenter and painter.  He was also well known for being able to fix and do anything, a real “Jack of all trades.” 

Tracy lived in many cities over the years including Cleveland, Ohio and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He loved making people laugh and never met a stranger.  To know him was to love him.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Otis Wray, Sr., step-father, Robert Harmon and a sister, Vickie Coleman.

Those left to cherish precious memories of Tracy include:  his loving mother – Nellie Wray Harmon of Columbia, South Carolina; six brothers and sisters: Darryl Wray, Kasondra Wray Roper and Ronald Wray, all of Columbia, South Carolina, Barbara Wilson, Otis Wray, Jr. and Sherrie Green, all of Racine, Wisconsin; five children: Takeeta Oree of Columbia, South Carolina, Tracy Wray, Jr., Delon Barnett and Denise Barnett, all of Cleveland, Ohio and Malik James of Columbia, South Carolina; four grandchildren: Asonté Wallace, Elyjah Redmond and Zaria Baker, all of Columbia, South Carolina and Lalanie Barnett of Cleveland, Ohio; a loving aunt: Annie Tucker of Columbia, South Carolina; a special cousin: Laverne “Bunny Rabbit” Askew of Columbia, South Carolina; a special friend, Sandra Anderson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; four nieces, six nephews, as well as many cousins, other relatives and many, many friends who will miss him dearly.
