Eleanor,

I don't think I have ever laughed as much as when your family performed at Family Night at Zion back in the day. I thought I would literally pass out from the hysteria of seeing your Mom giving the prayer at dinner time and smacking you Dad's hand as he tried to take a piece of her fried chicken from the table. She never missed a beat in prayer and penned this play herself.

Somehow, her vast creativity was overlooked in the general public eye. But, I tell the story of Family Night plays to my students and friends to this day....a event from my youth some 40 years ago that I WILL NEVER FORGET!

Your Mom will be in my memories forever and beyond.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I hope you and your family find comfort in God’s word where he promise that our loved ones sleeping in death will live again. (Acts 24:15) And at that time they will not suffer from sickness, pain or death.

I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your loved one. The pain we feel from the loss of a loved one never completely goes away; however, we are comforted by the beautiful promises found in God's word the Bible. There he promises that our loved ones sleeping in death will live again. And at that time, they will not suffer from sickness, pain or death. (John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5)
