Susie Belle Dent was born October 29, 1931 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Drucilla Wages Owens. She departed this life on May 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by family and friends.  “Belle” as she was affectionately known, was a faithful member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church No. 1.

“Belle” leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Margie (John) Bookert, Wanda (Fredrick) Johnson, Pamela (Bernard) Bell, Sr.; three sons, Deacon James (Wanda) Dent, Jr., Michael (Sandra) Dent, Ralph Eugene Dent; four nieces, Regenia Owens, Fabia Owens-Hargrove, Tanisha Owens, Shaun Robinson; sister-in-law, Dr. Janice Owens-Palmer; fifteen grandchildren, thirty six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
