Steward “Tampa” Wilson, Sr. was born February 20, 1949 in Eastover, South Carolina to the late Charles and Rosa Wilson. He transitioned from this life to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

Steward was a proud graduate of Lower Richland High School. He worked at FN Manufacturing as a lead machinist, retiring after 15 years of dedicated service.

Steward joined Antioch A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age, receiving several awards for his work with the Usher Board, Choir, as a Children's Sunday School Teacher and other organizations. The Lower Richland community will remember "Running Bull" knocking balls out of the ball field and landing tournament MVP honors from 1970 through the late 1980s.

Steward was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Byrtle Wilson Brown and a son, Steward Wilson, II.

He leaves to revere his memory, Wendolyn Wilson of Columbia, South Carolina; two daughters, Hope Wilson of Eastover, South Carolina and Natalie Wilson of Hopkins, South Carolina; one stepson, Dedric Brown of Columbia, South Carolina; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters: Vermell (Samuel) Chavis of Hopkins, South Carolina, Carolyn (Stanley) Brawley of Hopkins, South Carolina, Rena (Clyde) Trapp of Eastover, South Carolina and Maggie Ray of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers: Charles and Larry Wilson of Eastover, South Carolina, Phillip (Janice) and Anthony (Sally) Wilson, both of Columbia, South Carolina; a brother-in-law, Willis Brown of Eastover, South Carolina; and a host of aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, other loving relatives and dear friends.
