Ms. Serenity Walker, 6, was born May 25, 2010 in Columbia, South Carolina to Jamaal Walker and the late Jocelyn Walker. This little angel made her transition to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Palmetto Health Children's Hospital.

Serenity, affectionately known as “Ren”, was a student at Logan Elementary School, home of the Leopards! She was well loved by teachers and students alike.

Serenity always loved to dance and make people smile! She was a joy to be around; to know her was to love her. She was a people-person who loved to interact, talking to every new person she came in contact with. Ren loved doing new things. Though she departed this life too soon, she left her mark on the world and will truly be missed.

Waiting with open arms to welcome Serenity to her heavenly home is her mother, Jocelyn — together again, now and always.

Ren leaves to cherish precious memories: her father, Jamaal Walker; two sisters, Saniyah Walker and Jayla Jenkins; her grandparents, Mary Wooden and Sherman Brown; two aunts, Kenyatta Williams and Jessica Wooden; three uncles: Chris and Charles Walker and John Odom; a dear family friend, Kenneth Goodwin; and a host of other loving family, friends and classmates.
