Selma A Prosser
March 8, 1946 ~ September 26, 2017 (age 71) 71 Years OldSelma A. Prosser, known as “Ditty” and “Ma”, began her life on March 8, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Juanita Weight Johnson and Charlie Goodwin. She departed this earthly life on September 26, 2017 to be with her heavenly Father.
Selma was born in Eastover, South Carolina and later moved to Columbia, where she attended public schools. She graduated from C.A. Johnson High School and was employed at J.B. White for many years as a receptionist. She was a member of New Jerusalem International Church. Selma loved to cook and feed people and was a very opinionated person.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Larry Prosser, and two sisters, Gertrude Hoefer and Vera Smith.
Selma Leaves to cherish precious memories a loving and devoted son, Calvin “Shine” Jennings; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Courtney Romey, and their mother, Maria Romey; five sisters: Martha Thompkins, Laura Kirkland, Vivian Johnson, Margle Benson, and Delores Johnson all of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Earl Johnson, also of Columbia, and David (Cheryl) Johnson of Anderson, South Carolina; a special friend, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and close friends.
