On June 15, 2017, God called his angel, Rosetta Edmond Butler, home to eternal rest. Rosetta was born May 26, 1958 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was the eighth of nine children born to the late Daniel and Rosa Lee Jeffcoat Edmond.

Rosetta, also known as "Zet" by family and friends, received her formal education in the Richland County school system, graduating from Eau Claire High School, Class of 1976. She spent the majority of her career as an employee of Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia), where she retired in 2014.

Zet accepted the Lord at an early age and was a faithful member of The Church of Christ where she was a Youth Bible School teacher for many years.

As a devoted wife and mother, she leaves to love and cherish her beautiful memories, her husband of 40 years, Russel Butler, Jr. From this marital union were born four children.

Rosetta was predeceased by her parents and four siblings: Vivian Louise, Azalea, Joyce and Wayne Edmond.

Loving her always are her children: Nicholas Butler of Columbia, South Carolina, Jamilah Sherell (Gregory) Harmon of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Michael Butler, also of Columbia and Alexander (Baseemah) Butler of Sumter, South Carolina. Precious memories will remain in the hearts of her siblings: Patricia Edmond Goodlett of Birmingham, Alabama, Clementine Edmond McLeod, Barbara (Benjamin) Edmond Richardson and James C. Edmond, all of Columbia.

Rosetta was affectionately known as "Patty-Cake" to her grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Nicholas Butler, Jr., Alexis Butler, Nyjal Crum, Kendall Harmon, Brayden Butler and Cameron Harmon. She also leaves to mourn her passing a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
