Michael Laron Tillmon was born January 13, 1975 in Lexington County, South Carolina. He was the second son of Walter and Ruby Tillmon, Jr. He departed this life on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Michael graduated from Airport High School in 1993 and continued his education at Southeastern College, where he received his degree as a Medical Assistant.

He was filled with the Holy Ghost at a young age, and God used him as a servant in many ministries. As a child, he attended Calvary Holiness Church, Hephzibah Apostolic Assembly, and many other ministries. God elevated him to Pastorship of Christ Deliverance Church, serving there until his work was completed. He then began to serve as minister under the leadership of Apostle Leon Flood of Grace Point Worship Center. He was currently serving at Set Free Word and Worship Center, under the leadership of his father, Bishop Walter Tillmon, and his brother, Pastor Corey Tillmon.

Michael was a God-fearing man who loved being around the people of God. He had such a passion for helping others, going above and beyond — always putting others first, even when he was not feeling well. He could pray you through any storm or battle. God would often use him to prophesy with a mighty anointing. He loved singing with his family and often filling in on the drums, and occasionally the keyboard. He just loved being around his family.

Michael Laron Tillmon is survived by: his parents; three brothers: Walter and Corey (Tammy) Tillmon, both of Columbia, South Carolina, and Mark (Nicole) Tillmon of West Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Tonya Tillmon of Columbia, South Carolina; a godson, Isaac Riley of West Columbia, South Carolina; many loving aunts and uncles; two nephews and four nieces; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
