Mrs. Mariann Wilson, of Columbia, South Carolina, was born January 24, 1948 in Saint Matthews, South Carolina to the late Reverend Junnell English and Bennie Howell. On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, she departed this earthly life at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilson attended the public schools of Richland County in Saint Matthews at Bethlehem Elementary and then moved to Columbia to better further herself in the study of hair. She was a very loving, truthful person. Mrs. Wilson was very strong-willed and independent.

Mrs. Wilson leaves to cherish precious memories: her two sons, Henry Lewis Wilson and Tony Tyrone Wilson two daughters, Audrey Audreana Wilson and Stephanie LaVern Wilson; a grandson, Dawone Wilson, and granddaughter, Teonti Aubrey Pickens; brothers: Bennie (Sheila) Howell of Gaston, South Carolina, Reverend George (Rosalyn) Richardson, Alphonso Rhinehart, Isaiah English, Willie Howell and Christopher Howell; and sisters Vernell Dantzler of Gaston, South Carolina, Mary Louise (Melvin) Hooke, Patricia Joyner, glira Ann Brooks, Purnell (Kenneth) Jones and Viola Brown. She also leaves her aunts, Viola Robinson of South Carolina and Leola Tucker of New Jersey; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Richardson, and sister, Georgetta Richardson.
