Loretta Denise Oree was born July 27, 1956 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Leroy Sr. and Mary Dervin Oree. She departed this earthly life to join our heavenly Father on Monday, July 17, 2017.

Lorretta attended the public schools of Columbia, graduating from A.C. Flora High School in 1975. She continued her education at Midlands Technical College. She was employed by and retired from the C. M. Tucker Center.

Loretta was a member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she served on the Pastor’s Aid Committee and as a member of the Missionary Society and Jubilee Choir.

She was predeceased by her parents and four brothers: Leroy Jr., Melvin, Don and Carl.

Loretta leaves to cherish loving memories her daughter, Stephanie Gladden of the home; two brothers, Benjamin (Hermine) Oree of Montclair, New Jeersey and Michael (Phillipia) Oree of Columbia, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Debra J. Oree of Columbia, South Carolina; four nieces: Keshia O. Walker, Felecia O. Lee, Melissa Oree and Edwina Morris; three nephews: Kyle, Nigil and Roy Oree; two goddaughters, Kierra Jackson and Whitney LaBrew; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. We all will miss her dearly, but rejoice in knowing that she is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
