Mrs. Lillie Mae Furtick James was born September 8, 1930 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Idella Johnson Furtick. She departed this life July 21, 2016 at C.M. Tucker Nursing Care Center.

She was married to the late Thomas James. She was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.

Mrs. Lillie Mae Furtick James leaves to cherish her fond and precious memories her: son, Willie C. Fogle of Charlotte, North Carolina; one stepdaughter, Zena (Levorn) Thompson; two stepsisters, James Suber, Franklin Suber; two brothers, Deacon Odella (Juanita) Furtick, Deacon James (Jacqueline) Furtick; six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, many great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Andrew Hingleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
