Lillie Pogue Obituary

“For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”                                                                                                               -II Timothy 4: 6-8

Mrs. Lillie Mae Pogue Porter was born January 17, 1976 in Columbia, SC.  She was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Mae Willis Pogue Foulks and Mr. Robert Sinkler.  On Friday, March 16, 2018 Lillie departed this earthly life for eternal rest with God at Providence Hospital, Columbia, SC.

“Tooie” as she was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Richland County.  She was employed by Family Dollar and later pursed her love for helping others as a CNA.  She was a member of Haskell Heights Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Charles Epps Sr.
