So sorry to hear. I just heard the news today, as I was trying to call John. I was out of town when this happened . John was such a comfort , joy, and help to my husband when he was in dialysis! He made the time for him go quickly with his wit and humor! Up in heaven now...they must be catching up on lost time!! A loss for those that knew him, a gain for heaven!!

May you find comfort in the Bible at Psalms 34:18, there the Bible assures us that "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves."

Remembering John as one who always said something to make me smile. It was my turn to lighten his heart when I was at the hospital some years ago on my way to visit another individual with a bundle of flowers in my hand. As I passed John's room (not knowing he was there) I heard a "Hey Girl!" So I backed up. and seeing it was him, I went in and had a nice visit. As I was leaving he said "Are those flowers for me? I like flowers." So before I left him, John had half the flowers in a make-shift vase (styrofoam cup) and a smile on his face. And once again, one on mine.
