How very softly you tiptoed into our world, almost silently, for only 53 years you stayed, but what an imprint your footsteps have left upon our hearts.

Jen Low was born on August 21, 1964 at Queens General Hospital in Queens, New York to Gladys E. Perkins-Low and the late George Low. Jen peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

“James”, as he was known, received his education in the public school of 118 in Queens, New York and was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School. A devoted family, man Jen enjoyed spending quality time with his family, friends, and listening to a variety of music. He was a great DJ!

He was employed at numerous night clubs, his last employment being with Home Depot. Jen will be remembered for his humorous personality, for being an outgoing person and very friendly. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts of all those who loved and knew him.

Jen was predeceased by his father, George Low, and brother, William Perkins.

Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories of Jen are his loving and devoted companion of 10 years, Lisa Mack; four sons: Trevaughn Low of Sumter, South Carolina, De’Erik Bradley, Julius Mack, and Jacarri Low, all of the home; two daughters, Kiara and Jakima Low, both of Sumter, South Carolina; three adopted sons: Michael, Phillip, and Maurice Grant, all of Sumter, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Raelynn Amiya Nicole Low of Sumter, South Carolina; his mother, Gladys E. Perkins-Low of St. Albans, New York; two brothers, Bruce Perkins of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Kren-Jen Low (Theresa) of Elk Grove, California; and sister, Kim Lynch-Wright (Bruce) of Southampton, New York. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Gloranna Jenkins (Sammie) of Orangeburg, South Carolina; brother-in-law, John Nelson (Nicole) of Orangeburg, South Carolina; father-in-law, John Nelson, Sr., and mother-in-law, Bessie Nelson both of Orangeburg, South Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief of Jen’s untimely departure.
