Franklin Walker Obituary

Mr. Franklin Timothy Walker, 49, was born November 23, 1968 in Columbia, South Carolina.  He was the beloved son of the late James R. Walker II and Deborah Veal Walker.  Frank transitioned his earthly life on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Palmetto Health Baptist-Parkridge in Columbia, South Carolina.

Frank confessed Christ at an early age.  He was a 1987 graduate of Eau Claire High School, Columbia, S.C., after which he attended Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA., on a football scholarship.  In 1990 Frank enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served for 8 years. Frank's military career began with Alpha Co., 2nd Bn, 14th IN, 10th Mtn Div, Fort Drum, N.Y.  Frank deployed with the 10th Mountain Division in support of Operation Desert Storm. His second tour of duty took him to Mannheim, Germany.  Frank ended his military career with Bravo Co., 1 Bn,  502nd  IN, Fort Campbell, KY.  After his military service, he obtained his CDL and drove over the road for various companies before becoming an entrepreneur, owner/operator of Walker Enterprises and Walker for Hire Lawn Service.

Frank was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, sister Phyllis R. "Sweet Pea" Walker and his son Franklin T. Walker II.

Those who will forever cherish his memory are his children, Brittany Spann-Walker, Jei-Kia Spann-Walker, Justice Spann-Walker and Alexis Lamphere.  Grandchildren, Arianna, Jordyn and Londyn.  Brothers, James R. Walker, (Sabrina), Richard C. Walker (Joyce) and James Robert Walker III, (Tasha), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends. A second mom at heart for over thirty years Ms. Ida Spann.
