Frances Portee Obituary
Ms. Frances G. Portee of 1611 Steadfast St. of Columbia, SC, was the daughter of the late Charlie and Malinda (Simmons) Green. She was born April 1, 1925, in Fairfield County, South Carolina. She departed this life on March 15, 2018.
She worked in the poultry industry for many years and enjoyed cooking and discussing the Gospel with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers: Mr. Jesse Green, Isaiah Green, Charlie Green, William Green, Augustus Green, Oscar Green, Nathaniel Green and Willie Green; one sister: Rosa Lee Green; and one nephew: Wendell Green.
Ms. Frances leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter: Ms. Adrianne Portee of Columbia, SC, one nephew: Reverend Isaiah Green of Lexington, SC, two nieces: Ms. Doris Green, and Ms. Patrica Green, both of Buffalo, NY; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
