Curtis L. Hunter
January 11, 1955 ~ July 6, 2017 (age 62) 62 Years OldMr. Curtis Leval Hunter was born January 11, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of Irene Hunter and the late Cornell Hunter, Jr.
Mr. Hunter received his education in Richland County School District One. He attended Carver Elementary, W.A. Perry Middle School and graduated from A.C. Flora High School, class of 1973.
Mr. Hunter was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed all sports and especially football and baseball games. He served in the United States Army from 1977-1981.
Mr. Hunter was predeceased by: his father, Cornell Hunter, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Cornell and Mack Hunter, Sr.; maternal grandparents James and Rosa Lee Kennedy, Sr.; his daughter, Stacy Amiker; his aunts: Ann Mae Morris and Marian Taylor; and uncle, James Kennedy, Jr.
Mr. Hunter completed his life’s journey on Thursday, July 6, 2017, peacefully departing this life to begin his new journey with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Those left to cherish his precious and loving memories are: his son, Jonathan Leval Amiker; six grandchildren; his mother, Irene Hunter; brothers: Harry V. (Delores) Hunter; Stephon E. Hunter and Robert Murray; aunts, Frances White and Edith McKnight; uncle, Eddie T. Kennedy; nieces, Mahogany Hunter and Tamisha Hunter-Bradner; and nephew, Shawn Holloway; and a very special cousin, Vallerstine Smith. He also leaves a host of loving cousins, other relatives, and friends, all of whom loved him dearly, but rejoice knowing that he is now resting with the Lord.
