Calvin Lucas
January 16, 1933 ~ March 22, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years OldCalvin Lucas was born January 16, 1933 to the late Alston and Pearl Lucas. He was born, raised and educated in Calhoun County. He joined the United States Army and served his country at a young age. Before his retirement, he was a full-time employee at Silstar Corporation and a full-time fisherman. Anybody that knew Calvin knew he was about his fishing.
Calvin was preceded in death by three brothers: Joshua (Sarah), Jim (Rosina) and Sam Lucas; seven brothers–in-law: Leon, Harold (Edna Mae), Walter (Janie), Wayne (Sonja), Larry (Patricia), James (Lucy) and Darryl (Linda) Martin; and two sisters-in-law, Alma (Palmer) Martin and Patricia Martin
He leaves to cherish precious memories his loving wife, Christine Lucas; one daughter, Felecia (Chad) Lucas; one brother, Ernest (Addie) Bates: step children: Richard (Debbie) Jackson, Robert Jackson, Jackie Jackson Betty Jackson, Emma Hill, Patricia Jackson, Vivian (Bernard) Johnson, Lisa (Albert) Hogan, Sharon (Reginald) Meetze, Michelle Meetze, Michael (Trina) Meetze, all of Columbia; two granddaughters, Chadsity Calvondra and Felicity Valencia Lucas; and a host of other grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends that he raised and was a part of their lives. For he was always about family.
