The journey of life for Ms. Betty Goodwin came to an end as she transitioned to her new home Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia, South Carolina.

Ms. Goodwin was born March 13, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Lillian Goodwin and John English.

Ms. Goodwin was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She had a kind spirit and a loving heart. She had a “colorful” way of saying things; and everybody referred to her as “Ms. G”. She loved dancing and music and especially loved Prince. She loved to brag about her grandkids.

Ms. Goodwin leaves to cherish her memory, her twin, Bobby Goodwin; her children: Jonathan Goodwin, Ellery (Cyrille) Goodwin and Jaquetta “Chaleze” Meyers; her grandchildren: Laquetta Kennedy, Darrius Farley, Markeze Meyers, Breona Meyers, Kamry Goodwin, Jaylon Goodwin, Jordan Jones, Quanjay Brown, Jonathan Goodwin, Jr. and Lillian Goodwin; and two great-grandchildren, Lyric Kennedy and Chanson Kennedy.
