Berry Randolph, Sr.
April 18, 1939 ~ May 14, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years OldMr. Berry Randolph, Sr. was born April 18, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late James Sr. and Nellie Harris Randolph. He passed away on May 14, 2017 at ContinueCare Hospital at Palmetto Health Baptist. He was 79.
Berry was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School’s Class of 1957. He worked at (the former) Columbia Hospital for many years. He was also a roofer at Space Roofing Company.
Mr. Randolph lived a full life and was well-known throughout the metropolitan area. Anyplace he would go, some there would know him. He spent his later years enjoying his family and community friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will truly be missed.
He leaves to cherish precious memories and continue his legacy: daughters, Myra Yolanda Randolph of Columbia, South Carolina and Deameatrice LaShone Young of Chicago, Illinois; sons, Berry (Verena) Randolph, Jr. and Corey Montez Randolph, both of Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren: Jordan Perry Dreher, Lauren Dené Dreher, Falon Lawson, Tyler Lawson, Tori Lawson, LaToya Clarkson, Xavier Datron Randolph, Darrius Trayvon Randolph, Omar Montez Randolph, Tavonya Joseph and Minnah Joseph; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Melissa Adams of East Orange, New Jersey, Thomas Randolph, Leroy (Marie) Bell, Robert (Palmira) Randolph and Mamie (Otis) Eleazer, all of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
