She departed her life here on earth to take her eternal rest on May 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leroy and Anna Coffield, and brother, Calvin. She was a beloved wife, sister, niece and aunt.
She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Daryl Holmes of the home; four brothers: William and Herman Council of Scotland Neck, North Carolina, James R. Council (Bullock) of Williamston, North Carolina, Robert (Kim) Council Jr. of Jacksonville Florida and Raeford Bullock of Scotland Neck, North Carolina; three sisters: Beatrice Salisbury of Williamston, North Carolina, Isolene Davis and Lerald Ferguson of Lexington, South Carolina and Sharon Council of Florence, South Carolina; three aunts, Roadie and Jimmy Lykes of West Columbia, South Carolina and Louise Highsmith of Danbury, Connecticut; three uncles: Wake Council of Scotland Neck, North Carolina, Charlie Council of Williamston, North Carolina and June Council of Newburgh, New York; 16 nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Anna was born and raised in Robersonville, North Carolina, where she attended Roanoke High School. Upon graduation, she moved to Connecticut to pursue a job in the food industry. She later moved to South Carolina where she worked in various jobs, including security and the food service and hospitality fields. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all knew and loved her.
